An independent medical writer with an almost unhealthy passion for slide design. Al eats, sleeps, and breathes slides. This obsessions, however, grew out of deep frustration, anger, rage even at the state of technical presentations. Information was dumped on the canvas with the assumption that the viewer should sort it out. Now, Al is fighting the good fight, designing elegant slide decks for continuing medical education programs. An avowed generalist, Al designs decks for an uncountable range of medical specialties.

Al is also an accomplished science writer. He wrote the non-fiction psychology bestseller Persuadable (HarperCollins) selected by the Wall Street Journal as one of its books of the month and has been a frequent contributor to top outlets such as Harvard Business Review and Psychology Today. Al lives on Upper West Side of New York City with his six-year-old dog, a pugnacious potcake named Roxy.
